Our Facilities

1. Academics:

IGMHS is affiliated to CBSE. The CBSE syllabus gives students an extra edge over others in competitive examination in India, most of which are mapped to the CBSE syllabus. Unit wise splitting of syllabus is followed as per guidelines of CBSE. Regular parent-teacher interactions are held to keep parents updated about their ward/wards progress. Academic discpline is administrated by hierarchy of the Rector/Academic Director/Principal/Vice Principal/Headmistress, Co-ordinators and finally class teacher\'s/ subject teacher\'s.

2. The School Building:

Modern classrooms, well equipped laboratories, audio-visual theatres, libraries and resource centre that acts as a repository of knowledge, form a part of the infrastructure which enable well trained teachers to bring out the best in their students.
A comprehensive sports complex, incorporating indoor sports provide a fertile ground to nurture the physical development of our children which is complemented by outdoor sports facilities.

3. Career Counseling:

Career Counseling work-shops are organized regularly for the benefit of the Students. \"Career by choice not by chance.\"

4. SMS Alert:

In case of any holiday being declared or any kind of emergency, the parents are informed by phone or by text alerts.

5. Medical Facility:

Both the junior and high school have clean infirmary facility with caring and trained nurse and attendants. Adequate stock of emergency medical equipment and medicine are ready as per need.

6. Our Library:

Indira Gandhi Memorial School library encourages curiosity, innovation and problem-solving. It is integral to the cultural and social life of the school as well as students. The school library is a central point for all kinds of reading, cultural activities, access to information, knowledge building, deep thinking and lively discussions. Innovative Learning Environments incorporate flexible learning spaces and blended teaching approaches. Our library provides such a place to all its students for better performances. Our library collection helps our students inculcate good reading speed and practices.

7. Science Lab:

IGMHS believes in Effective teaching of science, its principles and concepts. In order to achieve this one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. The knowledge that kids attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction. Our primary objective behind having an excellent Science Lab with modern equipments is to develop these five very important qualities in our students.
1. Skills - manipulative, inquiry, investigative, organizational, communicative
2. Concepts - such as hypothesis, theoretical model, taxonomic category
3. Cognitive abilities - critical thinking, problem solving, application, analysis, synthesis
4. Understanding the nature of science - scientific enterprise, scientists and how they work, existence of a multiplicity of scientific methods, interrelationships between science and technology and among the various disciplines of science
5. Attitudes - such as, curiosity, interest, risk taking, objectivity, precision, confidence, perseverance, satisfaction, responsibility, consensus, collaboration, and liking science.

8. Computer Lab:

Computers & Technology plays a major and vital role in our day to day work and life. The impact is such that kids learn to type before they can write. Education has benefited from the inclusion of technology and computers by making it easier for students to keep up while helping teachers by improving the way lessons can be planned and taught. The computers in our lab have been upgraded with appropriate software. As per CBSE syllabus and standards we enable students to develop, compile and run programs in various computer languages, teach intenet, multi media applications, MS-Office etc. Computers and the internet offer a vast range of resources, benefits and expedite the process of information flow. Additionally, teaching students through computers is a largely audio-visual method, which is highly stimulative and engaging and effective.

9. Counseling Sessions:

To help students cope with the problems of adolescence, we have a team of counselors who instill in students positive attitude and help to create an open and friendly environment in the school.

10. Work-Shops And Seminar:

With evolving teaching techniques it becomes important for teachers to expand their knowledge base and recent developments. The management sends teachers to various work-shops/seminars to help them acquire proficiency.

11. CCTV-Surveillance:

Safety and security of the students is of Paramount importance. The school management gives special emphasis on this aspect and therefore cameras for CCTVs are installed in all class rooms, laboratories, library, staff room offices, stairs, veranda, and other strategic points to keep vigilant watch on the activities and monitor the system effectively.

12. Health Hygiene:

\"Sound mind is possible in sound body\" is an old saying full of truth. Sanitation in the school campus is given due importance. Arrangement for pure and cold drinking water for the students and the teachers are sufficiently made.

13. Faculty:

Teachers will help to create a stimulating atmosphere for nurturing the child\'s natural curiosity and a desire to learn. Primary classes would focus on strengthening the child\'s abilities and special needs. We strongly believe that this close interaction between teacher and student facilitates a fulfilling learning experience.

14. School Transport:

Children need to travel safely between home and school with the least effort and time. To ensure this, we will manage a fleet of buses, designed to conform to stringent safety standards. Manning them will be trained personnel, sensitized to the needs of small children. On board communication system will allow, in case of emergency, to keep in touch.
